Research Contribution: Publication: A Contemporary Framework for the Diagnosis and Management of Stent Fracture

I was pleased to contribute to the publication of "A Contemporary Framework for the Diagnosis and Management of Stent Fracture" in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. 

Although uncommon, stent fracture remains an important complication following coronary stenting and may contribute to restenosis, stent thrombosis and recurrent symptoms. This review brings together the current evidence on the mechanisms, diagnosis, prevention and management of stent fracture, while providing a practical framework that can assist interventional cardiologists in clinical practice. 

Publishing research and reviewing emerging evidence are important aspects of my practice. By collaborating with colleagues internationally to develop practical guidance for complex coronary intervention, I aim to contribute to safer procedures and improved outcomes for patients.
