Research Contribution: Jailed Drug-Coated Balloon Technique Published in AsiaIntervention
Date: July 2026: I was pleased to contribute to the publication of our work in AsiaIntervention, describing an enhanced provisional strategy for the treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions using a jailed drug-coated balloon (DCB) technique.
Coronary bifurcation lesions remain among the most technically challenging procedures in interventional cardiology. Our work explores a practical approach designed to preserve side branch patency while maintaining the simplicity of a provisional stenting strategy.Research and education are important parts of my clinical practice.
By collaborating with colleagues internationally and contributing to peer-reviewed publications, I aim to help advance contemporary techniques that may improve outcomes for patients undergoing coronary intervention.This publication reflects an ongoing commitment to evidence-based practice, innovation, and the continual refinement of coronary intervention techniques.
