Invited Faculty – Abbott OCT Masterclass, Westmead Hospital

I was honoured to be invited as faculty for the Abbott OCT Masterclass held at Westmead Hospital, an intensive educational programme focused on intravascular imaging and complex coronary intervention. The workshop brought together practising interventional cardiologists for hands-on case-based learning using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).

As faculty, I delivered teaching sessions on contemporary OCT-guided PCI, including bifurcation intervention, calcium modification and image-guided decision making. Participants worked through real clinical cases using dedicated workstations, allowing practical application of imaging techniques in complex coronary procedures.

Teaching other cardiologists is an important part of my professional practice. Educational programmes such as this provide an opportunity to share experience, discuss emerging evidence and help advance the safe and effective use of coronary imaging in everyday clinical practice.
